Need to get
the news on your desktop?
Want to build us into your blog or put us on your Facebook?
The ITV Local widget gives you the latest news stories as they happen.
Stay up to date 24/7 with what's happening where you live.
If you're planning a day out, take a look at our 'what's on' guide
to what's on in your area, with the latest cinema and theatre listings,
gig guides and club nights.
And the widget can even help you decide what
to wear with a local weather report! |
How to use the widget...
Click the "select
a region" drop down above and choose the ITV Region closest
to you. You'll then be presented with the five latest News
stories from that region. Click Weather for today's
weather where you live, or What's On to launch
our What's On lookup service. We'll remember which region you picked
for next time (cookies required).
How to put the widget on your
own page...
Simply click
here to get the widget code. You'll see a list of services
that we support, including Facebook, MySpace, iGoogle, Microsoft
Live, NetVibes, Blogger, FreeWebs, Xanga and many more. Simply click
the icon of the service you'd like us to give you the widget for
and follow the instructions for that particular service.
If you'd like to send the widget to
a friend via email...
Click
here, click the "send"
button, enter your name and enter your friend's name, and click
next.
Please type carefully - both should be valid email addresses for
the widget to be sent successfully
If you'd like to place the widget on
your desktop...
Click
here to get the widget code options,
select the Embed option from the gadget list and click
to download the software. The widget is available as a Vista gadget, a Yahoo! Widget or a Mac Dashboard Accessory. You may need to run this file as Administrator
for this to work, and the file may require permission to launch
web pages from your default browser.
If you'd prefer to glue the widget onto your page using
HTML...
Click get and share, then click the "embed"
button to get the code - then just paste it into the code of your
page where you want it to appear. The code will be exported in Javascript.
Please note that we cannot provide detailed technical support
for this method.
